Gala Events

The Covent Garden Dance Company sources beautiful and unique locations around the country to present exclusive high-end gala evenings with dancers and performers from around the world. These evenings are designed to give the small invited audience a once in a lifetime intimate experience of dance that they will cherish forever.

These fund raising events are designed to promote and support The Dicky Buckle Choreographic Fund, a not for profit initiative set up to commission short new works by young and emerging Choreographers. Each year we hope to commission a number over new works that can be not only showcased at the gala events but also at a first class theatre at the end of season, giving the next generation a chance to have their work performed alongside some of the more established names in dance theatre.

In light of the brutal cuts to funding of the arts and an increasingly competitive market place for financial backing The Secret Gala concept was one of the initiatives born from the necessity of having to find innovative and fresh ways of raising funding and support.
